Leadership

  • Patricia White | President

    Patricia White is proud to be a wardrobe worker and has worked for many years as a dresser on Broadway and in the wardrobe departments of soap operas, and elsewhere, when asked.  She has been a member of the IATSE since 1986 when she joined ACT as a traveling wardrobe employee.  She transferred into Local 764 on April 24, 1989 and has served as a trustee and officer since 1995.  She currently serves the membership as Local 764’s President, and as such, oversees the local’s contract negotiations and arbitrations,

    chairs meetings of the Board and Membership, represents the local at industry and union functions, and deals with the day-to-day business of Local 764, along with the Business Representative s and other elected officials.

    An International Representative since 2007, Pat has worked with locals of many types, but especially closely with wardrobe locals across the United States and Canada, to assist them in strengthening their local unions.  Pat is currently the Director of Education and Training for the IATSE International, and was elected to the post of International Trustee on April 30, 2013.  She is also a member of New York Women in Film and Television, serves on the ETCP Certification Council, and was recently assigned by International President Loeb to take part in the AFL-CIO’s National Labor Leadership Initiative.  She is a Trustee on the International’s Training Trust Fund, which helps to provide craft-skills training to IATSE workers, and is a trustee on the IATSE National Benefit Funds.

    Pat loves both her Union work and wardrobe work and the members of Local 764.  She is proud that we have a strong IATSE local union.  Pat deeply believes that unions are what make a middle-class life, with good wages, retirement benefits and health insurance possible for workers in the entertainment industry.

  • Vangeli Kaseluris | Vice President

    Vangeli has been a proud member of IATSE Local 764 since 1999. In addition to his duties as Vice President, Vangeli chairs the Education Department, the Safety Committee, and is the administrator of Local 764’s Twitter account. Vangeli’s passion and desire for Local 764 to have a strong and accessible education department has garnered praise from the International and many other locals.

    Vangeli is a graudate of IATSE’s Officer Training 1.0 and 2.0. 

    Vangeli works in both Live Performance and Film and Television. He is an active contributor to the newsletter and serves on many negotiating committees.

    Vangeli believes that the union serves the people; and believes that educated and strong people make for an educated and strong union.  That’s when we all succeed!

  • Martha Smith | Secretary-Treasurer

    Martha Smith has been a member of Local 764 since 2000 and has served on the Executive Board as a trustee for the past 4 years. “I am happy to serve the members of Local 764 as the new Secretary/Treasurer. I started out working for the soaps, and continued from there to work on television, film, Broadway, the Met Opera, ABT and network news. I recognize the different challenges that our multi-faceted craft holds, and hope to represent all members within the myriad of areas we work. I believe that the strength of our union comes from active, engaged members, and I am proud to serve you in my new role.”

  • Frank Gallagher | Business Representative: Film & Television

    Frank Gallagher has been a Local 764 Business Representative for going on twelve years. He started as the representative for the theatrical side, and has been the Film/Television rep since 2009. Frank also serves as a Trustee on both the Local 764 Benefit Funds and on the 401K fund. He has been the Treasurer of the East Coast Council for the last 5 years.

  • Leah Okin | Business Representative: Live Performance & Child Actor Guardians

    Leah is a native New Yorker, and a second generation member of I.A.T.S.E.

    Leah has been a member of I.A.T.S.E for 9 years. She has been a member of Local ACT and 28. Leah has served as an Executive Board Member, Vice President, as well as Constitution and Stewardship Committee Chair. She is proud to have joined Local 764 in June of 2013 as the Live Events Business Representative. Leah is one of the founding members if the I.A.T.S.E Young Worker Committee. She is passionate about improving multi-generational workplaces for everyone.

  • Shannon Koger | Chair of Trustee

    Shannon Koger is a Trustee of Local 764.  She became a member of the IATSE in 1993 and transferred into Local 764 in 1996.  She has worked under virtually every contract:  Broadway (as a supervisor and dresser), Met Opera, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, Radio City, The Beacon Theatre, Special Events, Network television at the soaps and news divisions of ABC and CBS, and the Majors Film and Television contract. She has served as shop steward at 5 Broadway shows and been a member of the Executive Board since 2005, serving as a trustee and as chair of trustees for 3 years before being elected Secretary/Treasurer in 2011.  She has served on the Constitution, Registration and Office Renovation committees, and was Co-Chair of the Annual Party for 6 years.

  • Kimberly Butler-Gilkeson | Trustee

    Kimberly has been a proud member of Local 764 since 1999.  She began working in theatre and has continued to expand her career path onto daytime series television, primetime series television and film.

    She was elected as a Trustee after the February 2016 interim election and is honored to represent this amazing community of workers.

    Kimberly looks forward to serving her local and its ever expanding needs.  A part of those needs is increasing the union’s presence on social media.  She’s currently the administrator of the Local 764’s Instagram and Tumblr accounts.

  • Kimberly Baird | Trustee

    Kimberly Baird has been a member of Local 764 since 2000.  Since joining she has worked in the basements of Broadway as part of 24 show-crews, filling all positions from laundry to Supervisor;and has spent many hours working on the sidewalks of New York with Film/Television productions.  Regardless of the project or the medium, she was always amazed at the hard work and creativity that our members display.  She is proud to be a part of this community and has been motivated to step up and do her part as a Trustee, to advocate for all members and help us move forward to become a stronger local.

  • Bill Hubner | Trustee

    I have been a  proud member of Local 764 since 1997. I have been very fortunate to work on Broadway, film & television.  I have sat on the committees negotiating contracts with Disney, The Broadway League and helped with proposals for both RCM & Lincoln Center negotiations. I am committed to using my voice to amplify voices of those who do not feel heard and I am dedicated to creating a union that is truly inclusive and equitable. I have taken advantage of numerous educational opportunities offered through our local. Knowledge is power and thus our union becomes stronger and more effective the more we all know and learn. Thank you for this opportunity to be of value to our local.

  • Raven Jakubowski | Trustee

    Raven Jakubowski has been a member of Local 764 since 2009, working initially as a stitcher and swing dresser on Broadway before transitioning to tailoring for film and television. Raven became a member of the Executuve Board in 2020, and is proud to represent and serve our membership.

  • James Kabel | Trustee

    I am proud to have been a member of Local 764 for the past 30 years. I have served 3 terms as trustee. and am honored to serve again.

    I have been on several winning negotiating committees for the Metropolitan Opera and Broadway contracts. I assisted with the successful drive to unionizing the NYC Ballet Costume shop. I am proud of each of these tasks for a variety of reasons, but most of all because they contribute to the strength of our union.

    It is my strong belief that one should always give back to the community. It is also my strong belief that an informed union is a strong union.  That an educated union is a powerful union.  We need to be educated, powerful, and united.

  • Carmia Marshall | Trustee

    My name is Carmia Marshall.  I’ve been a member of the IASTE Local 764 since 2001. I am a key set costumer/ star dresser who works in the film and television sector of our local. I am committed to diversity inclusion and quality for all members.

    I am a part of the BIPOC steering committee, Constitution committee and Social Justice Task Force.

    I am also dedicated to the growth and development of all Local 764 affairs.
