Local 764 Negotiations in 2022

As reported on April 21, 2022:

The Following Local 764 Contracts will be up for negotiation in 2022:

  • Local 764 Majors Agreement with the AMPTP
    • The Local 764 Majors Agreement expired on 2/28/2022 and Local 764 is currently in negotiations with the AMPTP (Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers).  The next date for bargaining is tentatively scheduled for May 10th, 2022. 
  • Local 764 CBS Network Contract
    • The CBS agreement expired on 3/31/2022.  Negotiation dates are in the process of being scheduled.
  • Local 764 Broadway League Agreement
    • The Broadway League Agreement expires on July 22nd. 
  • Local 764 Metropolitan Opera Agreement
    • The Metropolitan Opera Agreement expires July 31st. 
  • Local 764 Disney Theatrical Agreement
    • THe Disney Theatrical Agreement expires August 31st. 

PLEASE NOTE: There are additional agreements in addition to those listed above with expiration dates in 2022.

Local 764 Collective Bargaining Classes

NEW DATES FOR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING CLASSES HAVE BEEN SET!

All members wishing to serve on upcoming Local 764 Negotiating Committees must take the Collective Bargaining Class offered in 2022.
All members interested in learning more about the Collective Bargaining process are welcome to attend. The course is designed to be relevant for all our contracts and venues.

Classes will be held on the dates below: (All times are tentative.)

Sunday June 5th ,10 am – 5 pm
Monday June 6th, 10 am – 5 pm

LOCATION: Local 764 Office (545 West 45th Street, 2nd Floor, NYC NY 10036).
These are in-person classes. Reserve your spot now to avoid disappointment.

Outreach, Training and Mentorship

As reported on April 21, 2022:

Local 764 has partnered with ReelWorks to create a craft training program for young adults from traditionally under-represented backgrounds.  The Local 764 BIPOC Committee will be involved in its development.  ReelWorks has done training programs with other IATSE Locals, including Local 52 and Local 798.  

ReelWorks provides students training in life and social skills, and Local 764 members will provide the craft training and mentorship.

If you are interested in lending your teaching skills or mentoring a graduate, please let the office know.

Trustee Report

As reported on April 21, 2022:

Local 764 Trustees Terry LaVada, Raven Jakubowski and Kimberly Butler-Gilkeson met on April 9th to review the books and records of the Local 764 for the 4th Quarter of 2021.  The trustees determined that all books and records were in good order.

The next Trustee quarterly audit will take place in May.  For questions about the Trustees and their process, please contact Terry LaVada at [email protected].

Local 764 Wally Hall Fund Members in good standing may take a loan of up to $3000.00 from the Local 764 Wally Hall Emergency Fund.  These loans are interest free for 18 months.  Please contact Anne Grossman at [email protected] for more information. Actors Fund Local 764 has a Members Assistance Program that is administered by the Actors Fund.  Members should contact [email protected] for the social service resources provided through the 764 Membership Assistance Program.
