Local 764 BENEFIT TOWN HALL: Date will soon be announced!

The previously announced BENEFIT TOWN HALL will be scheduled for the week of July 27th – July 31st depending on the schedule of the presenters (from the IATSE National Benefit Fund, the Local 764 Pension & Annuity Fund and the Local 764 401(k) Fund).

Training and Education
IATSE TRAINING TRUST FUND: SAFETY FIRST ONLINE TRAINING
Local 764 members may apply for access to the online training provided by the IATSE Training Trust, including the recently launched: COVID-19: RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES FOR PREVENTING EXPOSURE IN THE WORKPLACE.

Once you submit your application you will be approved for an account in five business days or less.
OSHA 10 Online and In Person Classes
Local 764 is planning additional courses for members to get their OSHA 10 card, through both online training and in-person training, once in-person classes are available. Please let us know your interest. As soon as these classes have been confirmed, they will be announced to the membership. Let us know your interest now, because if there is a high demand we will schedule more classes! You can email your interest HERE.
LinkedIn Learning Local 764 Members have unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning online library of online classes through FREE subscriptions through the IATSE Training Trust Fund. The application is available on the IATSE Training Trust Fund Website: https://www.iatsetrainingtrust.org/lil.

The New York State Department of Labor has issued some new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) around Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) and Extended Benefits (EB):

POLITICAL ACTIVISM AND ENGAGEMENT
HEROES ACT: Extend the $600.00 Supplemental Unemployment Benefit! Thanks to all the Local 764 members who wrote and encouraged other to write to representatives!
Extending the “CARES” act’s unemployment insurance provisions for as long as the health crisis persists is crucial to our members!
To date, 34,194 letters have been sent!

COVID Rent Relief Program from New York State:
Beginning Thursday July 16, 2020 applications will be accepted for the New York State COVID Rent Relief Program. The COVID Rent Relief Program will provide eligible households with a one-time rental subsidy that will be sent directly to the household’s landlord. Applicants will not need to repay this assistance. More information including eligibility, applications and FAQ’s can be found at https://hcr.ny.gov/RRP .
Local 764 Wally Hall Fund
Members in good standing may take a loan of up to $3000.00 from the Local 764 Wally Hall Emergency Fund. These loans are interest free for 18 months. Please contact Julie Fernandez at [email protected] for more information.
Local 764 has a Members Assistance Program that is administered by the Actors Fund. Members should contact [email protected] for the social service resources provided through the 764 Membership Assistance Program.

The Actors Fund works in conjunction with the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF), and they coordinate grants to COVID-19 applicants.
