EARLY VOTING
In-person early voting starts SATURDAY 10/24 in New York. You can use findmypollsite.vote.nyc to find your early voting site and its hours.
YOUR ELECTION DAY SITE MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR EARLY VOTING SITE!
ABSENTEE/MAIL-IN BALLOTS TUESDAY 10/27 is the deadline to apply for an absentee ballot!
You can use the Board of Elections Absentee Tracker to see where your request is in the process: https://nycabsentee.com/tracking
PLEASE NOTE: Ballots require POSTAGE! If you need stamps sent to you for your absentee ballot, contact David Erdei in the Local 764 office for one to be mailed to you from Local 764 ([email protected]).
If you are unable or uncomfortable with entering and using early voting sites to drop off your ballot, contact the Local 764 office for help with getting your ballot to the ballot box.

The app is anonymous – you do not have to identify yourself as a Local 764 member after the initial log-in process. Local 764 will not be given any access to members log in or information.
For some Local 764 members, the app may be a way to reach out to others to get fresh ideas and resources to navigate challenging and stressful times at work and home. For others, it may be a way to help others meet these challenges. For all, we hope this provides a way to foster our community and help each other in a safe space.

Social Justice Task Force: SAVE THE DATE
Sunday November 15th from 11 am – 1 pm
Monthly Online Training with Facilitated Discussion:
The BIPOC Steering committee is recommending a series of online training on topics of Racial Equity, Bystander Culture, Unconscious Bias and more.
The first such training will be announced early next week, and information will be on the Local 764 website and emailed out to the membership.
ALL LOCAL 764 MEMBERS are encouraged and welcome to take the training and join in the discussion.
The Facilitated Discussion will take place on Sunday, November 15th at 11 am.

Member Mark Agnes has reached out to Local 764 to help develop a database of workers for a new studio opening up in the Hudson Valley (near Kingston New York).

MEMBERSHIP MEETING NOTICE
The Next REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING OF LOCAL 764 will be on:
SUNDAY, November 22nd at 10 am
You must be in good standing (all dues and assessments paid) to attend.
This meeting will be held online: information regarding attendance and registration will be announced prior to the date via email and on the Local 764 website.

Homeowner Relief
The New York State Legislature has allocated $20 million dollars in funding to the Homeowner Protection Program (HOPP). This program administered through the office of the Attorney General, Letitia James. Homeowners who are behind on their mortgage can get free help by calling the HOPP hotline (855)-466-3456.
Local 764 Wally Hall Fund
Members in good standing may take a loan of up to $3000.00 from the Local 764 Wally Hall Emergency Fund. These loans are interest free for 18 months. Please contact Julie Fernandez at [email protected] for more information.
Actors Fund
Local 764 has a Members Assistance Program that is administered by the Actors Fund. Members should contact [email protected] for the social service resources provided through the 764 Membership Assistance Program.

The Actors Fund works in conjunction with the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF), and they coordinate grants to COVID-19 applicants.

Local 764 Members have access to the Mental Health resources provided by Behind the Scenes, which includes a peer-to-peer chat app, an Entertainment Industry Therapist Finder, and other resources. These resources may be shared with family members, and can assist you in reaching out to someone you are worried about.
