Local 764 21 Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge: Day 12.

Posted on September 11, 2020

Welcome to Day 12!
This article includes the full text of an address that Dr. King delivered in Bal Harbour, Florida, on 11 December 1961, before the Fourth Constitutional Convention of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).

The best quote from the speech below shows Dr. King’s understanding the ruling classes use of reactionary and bigots to further the socio-economic divide “…the labor-hater and labor-baiter is virtually always a twin-headed creature spewing anti-Negro epithets from one mouth and anti-labor propaganda from the other mouth.”
